Who needs comics when you can grade journals!?

I was grading journals this weekend. My students come into the classroom in the morning, grab their journals and write a page of whatever is on their mind. I have a new student from Texas...those Texans, ya know...and he CRACKS.ME.UP!!! He is stone faced and intelligent. So far, in one week of school, I've been educated on all kinds of dogs, the lengths of their tongues, etc. etc. I had to call my family in when I read this page:

    I am truly laughing to death! What a wise crack this kid is! Who would have ever dreamt that laughter would be a job hazzard to teaching.
