It's been a long time...

It's been almost two years! I'm not sure where time goes, but it goes there quickly! I don't know that I have an followers left, but that's okay. This is more for me than you, really.

Life sometimes zaps our creative edge, but thankfully, it is resilient. Writing is good for my soul. Cheap, healthy medicine! Well...until you include the colored pens and nice paper! Nothing like hot pink or orange ink to make me happy.

I'm been thinking about who we REALLY are...when the blinders come off, nakedness in the mirror..who are we? I think we hide that from each other. I'm pretty sure of it, really. Then, for some, old age is cruel and their REAL personalities come out in the form of altzheimers and dementia. Their secrets spill out and I wonder if they are really so ugly that they needed to be hid so long? What a wonderful world if we could just be "us". Were all weird and we all have flaws. We're human. 

People change. We all do. We either mellow and settle into acceptance of ourselves, or we chase youth, beauty and other fast and uncatchable things. There is a balance of these, it seems. Somewhere. I know a few people who have gracefully found that balance. What a gift!

Summers go by so quickly. Well, the years go by quickly. This summer will never come again. Our moments are short. Enjoy every moment! Make memories, laugh and have fun!

What more can I say? Summer storms lend themselves to beautiful sunsets like this one. After a summer of sunsets that were beautiful through forest fire smoke, this one is just plain old pretty clouds! God is sure handy with his paintbrush!

There is no where like Rancho de Chimayo for some yummy food and all KINDS of nostalgic feelings and memories!

We said good bye to some good friends in July. Sad to see them go...

Summer is off to a great start!

I am the Middle Mom. One foster daughter still calls me "Momene". This week, we say "good bye" to another..Skyler. She's being adopted to a family in Washington! We are happy for her!
Jess taught songs and dance at VBS. One of my kids' favorite weeks of the year!

And then, a day in the city that makes my soul happy!!!
